Accessibility
Last updated September 2, 2026
We build websites for a living, so it would be a poor look if ours were hard to use. This page says what we have actually done on threephasemarketing.com, what we have not finished, and how to tell us when we have got something wrong.
What we are aiming at
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as the standard for this site. We are not claiming formal certification against it, and we have not had an independent audit. We are telling you the target and what we have checked ourselves.
What is in place
- A skip link as the first focusable element, so a keyboard or screen reader user can jump straight past the navigation to the main content
- Semantic structure: one page heading and a correct heading order beneath it, real landmarks, and buttons and links that are the elements they appear to be
- Text alternatives on images that carry meaning, and deliberately empty ones on images that are decorative, so a screen reader skips them rather than reading noise
- Keyboard operability: the navigation, the accordions, the project carousel, and the form can all be reached and operated without a mouse, with a visible focus style
- Reduced motion support: if your system is set to reduce motion, the entrance animations, the scroll reveals, and the moving logo do not play. Content is never hidden behind an animation that has to run for you to read it
- No content behind JavaScript: if scripts fail to load, the text is still there and readable rather than left invisible
- A stable layout: images and embedded elements reserve their space, so the page does not jump under you while it loads
- Form labels that are properly associated with their fields, with errors given in text rather than by color alone
- Color contrast checked against the AA thresholds for body text and controls as part of the design system
What is not finished
Being honest about the gaps is more useful than a clean bill of health:
- The site has not had an independent accessibility audit or been tested with a full range of assistive technology. Our testing has been keyboard, browser tooling, and manual review.
- The featured-work carousel is a rich interaction. It is keyboard operable and can be stepped through, but it is the part of the page most likely to be awkward with assistive technology, and it is the first thing we would revisit.
- The spam-protection widget on the form is supplied by a third party and rendered inside their frame, so its accessibility is not fully within our control.
- Some display headings are set at large sizes with tight letter spacing for effect. They meet contrast requirements, but they are a design choice we would revisit if they proved hard to read.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know, and we will treat it as a defect rather than a suggestion. Email hello@threephasemarketing.com with the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Tell us what you use to browse if you are happy to, since it helps us reproduce the problem.
We will acknowledge you and tell you what we intend to do about it. If something is blocking you from reaching us, we will give you the information another way.
